Simply, lighting a great smelling candle or lighting light incense can work wonders for the general atmosphere of your home. There has also been an old trick where women would take the skin off of an onion and boil it in a little pot of water. This evidently creates a great smell throughout the home. Although these are all great, nothing tops the smell of a great cookie just out of the oven. This will keep your guests coming back for seconds each winter season.

Keeping a clean house is not simple, but with these different tricks it is a little more easy to handle. Remember that your house does not have to look like a Martha Stewart magazine, but it should be clean enough and practical enough for you.
